"Granny is a Garlic
Gummer" by Nicole
Wellingham, Gilroy, CA
Granny is a garlic gummer,
the family thinks her
breath's a bummer.
While daily stress get other
folks,
Granny takes her garlic
dose,
and remains a sea of calm
despite,
the arguments and family
fights.
She takes it in her tea and
toast,
(she likes it in her gin the
most).
She takes it in her eggs and
ham,
(and mashed in her rhubarb
jam).
The secret is the garlic
haze,
that wafts around her days
and days.
Nothing seems to penetrate
it,
(the army's trying to
duplicate it).
So there's a moral to this
story,
I'll keep it short so's not
to bore ye.
Those folks in Gilroy can't
be wrong,
they've preached the gospel
all along:
Health and happiness don't
take money...
....all it takes is garlic,
honey!
