Shipping and handling charges are in addition to product prices and are based on the total weight of your order. We primarily ship via FedEx to keep costs lower and to get your products to you faster. In addition, USPS delivery is also available. USPS is perfect for P.O. Boxes, military (APO) addresses, and cost-effective shipments to Alaska and Hawaii. Please note that we reserve the right to modify your ship method when appropriate.
Please note that expedited services such as FedEx Express Saver (3 Day), FedEx 2-Day, and FedEx Overnight as well as FedEx Ground (commercial addresses) are delivered Monday though Friday, excluding holidays. FedEx Ground - Home Delivery (residential addresses) packages are delivered Tuesday through Saturday, excluding holidays.
FedEx does not deliver to P.O. Boxes or APO addresses. For those addresses, USPS must be specified.
Items in stock USUALLY ship in 1 - 2 business days. Actual delivery of your order may take 3 - 10 business days depending on where you live and the shipping option you select. All orders are shipped out of our Hollister, CA facility. At checkout, the number of in-transit days will be noted in parentheses (this number does not include the time required to process and pack your order).
You will receive a tracking number from FedEx once your order has been processed and shipped.
We package all of our products in Styrofoam peanuts to ensure they arrive to you in good condition. Check your shipment promptly. If there is damage to your product(s), leave the carton as-is with packing materials intact. If there is damage to any of your products, please notify us within 72 hours so that we can make proper arrangements.

Out Of Stock Items
As we want to provide our customers with a variety of other products, we carry a carefully picked selection of other manufacturer's products. We try our best to keep all items in stock and our site updated. However, at times, we may sell out of an item. If you order an item that is out of stock, we will contact you immediately by email or phone to let you know when we expect to have it back in stock. If you decide to go forward with your order without the out of stock item, we will be happy to refund the purchase price and any shipping costs accrued.
For cooking purposes, California garlic (the variety used to make braids), lasts about 9 months from the July/August harvest. Because of this, it is difficult to guarantee the freshness of our fresh garlic products between February and July each year. Therefore, we will not ship fresh garlic between February 1 and July 15, or until the new harvest. In addition, we will be unable to issue refunds on these products regardless of when they were purchased.
One of the most common questions we receive concerns the shelf life of our products; with a few people (luckily, very few) thinking that shelf life and half-life* are synonymous. The answer for each category is different. Most spice companies (whose names we don't mention) advise replacing herbs and spices every few months as they tend to lose potency and freshness. In general, that's probably a good practice. Herbs & spices, unlike wine, do not improve with age.
However, we have found that GARLI GARNI, stored properly, can easily last up to a year. What is properly?, you ask? Store GARLI GARNI and all other seasonings in a cool, dry, dark place. If you have a small shaker, refill it from your big one.
"Wet" products, such as salsas, mustards, and dressings should be similarly stored until opened and then should always be refrigerated. These should be used within a couple of months but use your common sense. If it looks or smells like a science project, throw it out! Remember, food products began life as living plants or other organic substances and therefore are not candidates for life everlasting. Most of our users don't want us to use so many preservatives that our products outlive them!
To enjoy the freshest, tastiest products, buy only what you can reasonably use in a few months. Never eat products that are off color, smell funny, or are in bulging or open containers. Store all products safely. No product should be stored where it is hot or in direct sunlight.
*half-life: the time required for half the atoms of a radioactive substance to become disintegrated; usually thousands of years.
