A: Hello Martha; Spices really do not go bad but do lose their potency over time as a result of losing their essential oils and drying out. The Garli Garni will last for approximately 1.5 yrs. Store in a cool, dry place. Avoid heat and/or direct sunlight.

A: We recommend not purchasing more than you can use in a year, as the product tends to lose potency just like other herbs and spices. Some people decant from their Grande jar into smaller jars to prevent excess moisture and air from entering the container. We advice that unused portions be kept capped tightly in a cool DRY place or in the freezer.
